Interview with the Director of Information Technology of Lorestan University

Dr. Vahid Mehrdad, Director of Information Technology of Lorestan University, said to our reporter in this regard: "In line with the smartening of the university's equipment and facilities, with the cooperation of the Vice President of Student Affairs and Information Technology of the university, the creation of a facial recognition system for student meal reservations is underway."

Dr. Mehrdad elaborated: "The important advantage of the facial recognition system is that if a student forgets to bring their student card, they can reserve and receive food through the facial recognition system."

The Director of Information Technology of Lorestan University added: "Until now, the process has been that receiving food has been with the presentation of a student card; from now on, it will be through the facial recognition system for students."

Dr. Mehrdad stated: "The launch of the facial recognition system for student meals will eliminate potential misuse of student cards for receiving food; because the system only allows the receipt of food based on the facial recognition of the student, and no one can receive food on behalf of another person."
